Love letter # 526

There are a thousand reasons not to proceed. Nearly all of them are other people’s. Only one of them, fear of judgement, is ours.

However, at this juncture, we may be better advised to think of the reasons to go ahead. Others may be disappointed if we choose one another, yet how will we feel if their doubts become our reality?

Let us not be told. Rather, let us discover. If it be a harsh lesson, may we learn it well – for then we will truly know. Better to sleep in clarity, than to wake in the lingering fog of what if.

They may well be right, and this may be disastrously wrong, but I want to unfold the answer with you; and for that honour I will pay whatever price is later asked.

Already, I am saving pennies in my heart.
