We are not required to make plans, swear oaths, nor pledge the everlasting. There is nothing for us to uphold, no others we must please. This does not need to be anything other than what we choose. We are free to deviate, to end it if we wish. As for language, there is no compulsory lexicon, no sacred text. Our union can take whatever form we nominate, or it might be formless. We may, instead, simply float, drifting vaguely in tandem, without ties or anchors. This may simply be an unfolding, an unknown we approach together. The rest, I suspect, is irrelevant.
